Autologous Blood Therapy / ACP
After a blood draw, we isolate the components from your blood that contain proteins and growth factors important for the healing of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. These are injected into the injured or overused structures, stimulating the body to replace inflamed and damaged tissue with healthy tissue. This effect is mainly used for chronic inflammatory conditions, such as Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, and patellar tendon inflammation, but also for acute muscle injuries.
Our physicians will advise you individually. Typically, 1 to 3 injections are administered at weekly intervals. The costs of autologous blood therapy are partially covered by supplementary insurance when complementary medicine is included.
