With an exercise ECG you will pedal on a stationary bike or walk on a treadmill while the lab personnel monitor the activity or your heart as well as any possible changes in your cardiovascular system and blood pressure. The level of difficult will either be increased step by step or continuously until you reach your maximum performance level. The readings allow the technicians to draw conclusions on your heart rate variability and blood pressure and they are used as important diagnostics for determining abnormalities in the supply of blood to the heart as well as abnormal heart rhythms as your heart works harder.
